Favorit Bar

Film recording: Peter A. Pfaff

Twice a year, artists with an expressive and visual approach to art are invited to talk about themselves, their career and their work in the intimate setting of a bar talk.
Aneta Kajzer (*1989 Katowice, POL) is a painter who celebrates the painting process and colour. She trusts her experience that "the hand is quicker than the thought" and lets herself be guided intuitively from initial abstraction to figurative forms. On the floor, with her hands and large brushes, she creates humorous but also resistant images that captivate with their quality of colour and material.

ARTIST BAR TALK
Marcel Hüppauff und Kolja Gollub
November 4, 2020
Favorit Bar

Within Artist Bar Talk series, this time it was planned to invite the Hamburg-based artists Kolja Gollub and Marcel Hüppauff. Unfortunately this time, due to Covid restrictions, this could not take place with an audience. Nevertheless, it was possible hold the talk in the Favorit Bar. Peter Pfaff recorded it on film. Many thanks to him and the Favorit Bar.

Kolja Gollub (*1990 Bielefeld) and Marcel Hüppauff (*1972 Stuttgart) are part of the 8th Salon in Hamburg, co-founded by Roberto Ohrt, an open forum for studio play, exhibitions, research and discussions. Both don’t like the cliché of the artist as a brilliant individualist, but they seek the interplay with others and thus create counter-images to this not at all accidental isolation.

RÄUME VON INNEN WACHSEN LASSEN  Interview with E.R. Nele

On the occasion of the exhibition INFORMELLE AUFBRÜCHE, the sculptor E.R. Nele, who was born in Berlin in 1932 and now lives in Frankfurt a. M., was interviewed by Marie-José van de Loo and Selima Niggl in October 2020. They talked about her experiences in Munich in the late 1950s/early 1960s.
General observations are included here as well as her contacts with gallery artists such as KRH Sonderborg, Hans Platschek, Constant and the members of the SPUR group, or her memories of her father, documenta co-founder Arnold Bode. In this way, a living film document has been created.
